Jubilee Memorial Private ITI | Veli, Fortkochi, Ernakulum was established in the year 1968 by Cochin Social Service Society, the official organ of Diocese of Cochin for the social well-being , with the aim of promoting Skill development of educationally deprived youth of the local area with special reference to socio economically back ward classes.
In 1972 August, the centre got NCVT affiliation to start an ITI by imparting training in three trades including Fitter.
A full time course as per the syllabus of NCVT.The institute provides classes for about 8 hours every day from Monday to Saturday except Govt. declared holidays. The course is divided in to four semesters with end of the semester examinations conducted by NCVT

Faculties are headed by the Principal who is a Mechanical Engineering graduate with more than 30 years experience in industry and teaching. He is assisted by instructors suitably qualified and experienced.
There are separate experienced staff to run the office and administrative functions.

The ITI is having its own grievance Redressal system in an informal manner i.e through direct supervision of the Principal and Director. The Grievance cell is also empowered to look into matters of harassment. Anyone with a genuine grievance may approach the Director or Principal in person.In case the person is unwilling to appear in self, grievances may be dropped in writing at the letterbox/ suggestion box of the Grievance Cell at our ITI office.
The objective of the Grievance Cell is to develop a responsive and accountable attitude among all the Students,their parents and staff members in order to maintain a harmonious educational atmosphere in the institute.
A Grievance Cell should be constituted for the Redressal of the problems with the following objectives.
The Grievances may broadly include matters on Academics or regarding harassment,Teaching methods,Facilities etc,.but shall not be covering the following areas.
The Grievance/complaints/Suggestions received shall be examined by a committee consisting of at least two persons nominated by the Director. The committee shall examine the grievances within one week and a decision regarding the same shall be communicated to the concerned person. If required the committee can call the aggrieved person personally to the ITI Office for a personal hearing. Depending on the nature of the Grievance Director can modify the redressal mechanism. The dicision of the Director shall be final and binding on all the concerned. The students can also meet the Principal or Director personally during working hours of the Institute to represent on any matter concerning the working of the Institute.
A complaint Box is installed in front of the ITI office in which the Students, who want to remain anonymous, put in writing their grievances and their suggestions for improving the Academics / Administration in the ITI.
